Shady Canyon is a 1,070 acre luxury gated low density community of just 400 homes located in the city of Irvine. It’s Irvine’s most exclusive, secluded and prestigious neighborhoods attracting top business leaders, major league sports stars and celebrities.

The neighborhood is known for its exclusive and private setting offering a variety of mostly custom luxury homes boasting an array of Mediterranean, Tuscan, Moorish and French Provencal-inspired architecture. From the beginning, the intention of this exclusive neighborhood was to integrate homes to seamless adjoin to the lands natural topography, and preserve the rustic, unspoiled character of beautiful coastal California canyons, ephemeral creeks, and gentle ridgelines.

Shady Canyon is also known for its exceptional amenities, including a private golf course designed by Tom Fazio, as well as a clubhouse, fitness center, and swimming pool. Shady Canyon is centrally located near several popular hiking and biking trails, including the Bommer Canyon and Quail Hill trails, which offer stunning views of the surrounding hills and canyons. The neighborhood is also home to a number of parks and open spaces, including the Shady Canyon Trailhead, which provides access to a network of hiking and equestrian trails as well. Ten minutes from the airport, five minutes from Irvine Spectrum Center, and 15 minutes from the ocean – but far enough to escape the marine layer – it’s nonetheless a place where most homes have views of protected hills and canyons.

Shady Canyon offers a beautiful private golf club, which includes a 43,000-square-foot clubhouse, tennis courts and a 6,700-foot wellness center, is by invitation only, and you have to be sponsored. Social memberships are available as well. In addition, all residents can enjoy the community facilities which include a clubhouse with pool and jacuzzis and tennis courts.

The median price for a single family semi custom builder tract home in 2022 was $5,467,00 for 4,894 square feet on a lot size of 18,633.
